AZU Architecture was founded in Izmir in 2013 by Burkay Adrian. What began as a one-person studio has, over thirteen years, grown into a 15-person interdisciplinary team.
Today, across Türkiye's different geographies — from Aegean coastal villages to Istanbul's mixed-use quarters, from Bodrum's stone houses to Izmir's office towers — we have completed over 250 projects.
We are not a "large" office; we are a "focused" one. We keep the number of concurrent projects to what lets us give each the care it deserves.

Born and raised in Izmir. After completing his undergraduate studies, he practiced at different scales before founding AZU Architecture in 2013.

Every project first listens to its site. The ground, the climate, the shadow tell their own story; we translate it through AZU's design language.
